PRADA vs YSL

It's been a while.

I just came back from my short trip to Singapore, and here {below} are my recent purchases.
While shopping at Ion Orchard the other day, I felt an intense sense of happiness over all the Prada bags. So I stormed into the store. I laid my eyes on this particular model {below} in black. My mind immediately thought that I had to get one of these. The bag is simply GORGEOUS!!
However, one of the store attendants offered me in navy blue. He said the navy blue color is so much nicer and they are so limited that only came in 1-2 pieces. While black came in like 20s. After giving a wise thought...I finally decided to get the bag in navy blue as suggested by the store attendant. :)

The color is more like a dark blue that is close to black so I think I can still match it with a lot of outfits. It's simplicity is striking. Sometimes that speaks volumes for a bag. There is a bit of urban meets sophisticated meets casual, which works entirely well for this bag.
And what more about the bag is that it got the adjustable strap that can be worn in many ways. It can be worn as a satchel. The strap can be adjusted in either long or short ways...anything you name it! I'm really over the moon to finally own this Prada bag!

Besides the gorgeous Prada bag, I also got me a new YSL clutch in Aqua color.
For those days, one for these YSL clutches would be a fun thing to have. YSL went for bright colors like plum, orange, brownish red, electric blue, navy blue, aqua, and many more. They come in 2 types of material too, soft leather and patent leather. Mine is patent leather in Aqua. The clutch is very irresistible that I wanna get it in every colors! :)
I think the clutch can go well with my silk Zara dress in green.

My heart skips a beat

Hello everyone! If you've been following my blog, you know that I really enjoy mixing colors in clothing. Fashion is an art, if you don't consider yourself artistic, understanding color theory can help you match colors in your closet and coordinate your clothes to create stylish outfits for every mood and occasion

Wearing pieces from Mphosis {blouse} and H&M {skirt}. I got the blouse from Singapore and the draped skirt from Hongkong.

{See below} Wearing a YSL Arty ring in turquoise, borrowed from my sister. I got one too but in coral. However mine is one bigger size than my sister's since they got mixed up with our order. We ordered both in size 5 for turquoise and coral, but they ended up giving me the wrong size! If you've been following my blog, you must have seen me a lot wearing my YSL ring :)
The clogs are surprisingly very light and comfortable to wear. They are the best buy! :)

I'm in love with this Maniac!

I'm in love the moment I laid my eyes on this pair of Brian Atwood Maniac pump platforms in nude! Loveeee the shoes so much!! I really want to get this pair, but Saks doesn't have my size. My usual size is 36 but I think I should get a half size bigger, which is 36.5 since the style runs small. I don't think it's my lucky day!

Does anyone know where I can possibly get this beauty?

Stairway to Heaven

Orange. It's vibrant and energetic and seems to be the most exciting color trend of Spring/Summer 2011 fashion season. Many designers used orange in plenty of their collection like Prada and Marni who used the hottest tints of orange creating the illusion of fabrics burning on skin.

This time, I opted for this particular orange dress that's 'burning' on my skin and combined it with neutral color like this brown outer wear, both from Miss Selfridge.

I visited my sister's house last Sunday and it occurred to me that the stairs at her house would be a great spot for taking pictures. Don't you think so too?
Orange has been one of my favorite colors and I realize that I bought a lot of orange clothes lately. I think I need to stop buying items of the same color!

If you have a lemon, make lemonade.

I enjoy traveling as much as I enjoy mixing colors. In this particular look, I was trying to mix a turquoise satin blouse with a lemon colored skirt that my sister got me from Zara in London. It has a zipper detail across the middle of the top of the skirt. I added a final touch with a skinny blue belt from Dorothy Perkins.

Blue is a fantastic color in terms of using it in clothing. Garments of this tone become universal pieces as it is easily teamed up with other tones and prints. And lemon, in all its possible variations always looks great.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing

I decided to clean out my huge closet and to give away some of my unworn clothes to my little cousin. She's still a 12-years kid but she has a pretty much same body size as me. When I was sorting out my clothes, I stumbled upon this laced blouse that I got it from a store in Bangkok that I never even wore even once. So I decided to wear it over a maxi black dress that I also rarely wear. I'm actually not the maxi dress person, I'm finding it quite sassy for me to wear a maxi dress to the fact that I'm petite. I always think that maxi dresses are only suited for long-legged ladies!
Regardless, I still decided to give it a go and I think I pulled it off quite well :)

Carrying a caviar-skinned black Chanel purse. I'm always a huge fan of Chanel. I adore the brand since I could remember. The entire collection is always classy and timeless! Do you see the connection here? My look resembles a classic black and white Chanel look. lol.
Trying a different style of my hair today. I'm loving the curls and the messy they are the better they look :)
